Kent began guiding in Grand Canyon in 1991 and still spends most of each summer down there. “It was never my intention to make this a habit, but this place just sort of gets in your blood. Each spring on my first trip of the season, it always feels like I’m coming home.” Apart from his work on the River, he also leads climbing trips to the high mountains of North and South America and Africa; and he guides scuba divers in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. When he’s not guiding, he can usually be found working on one of his many “projects” which can be checked out at: kentwagner.com.
“Kent and the crew did an excellent job of creating opportunities for individuals in the group to do what they wanted while maintaining group cohesion.” – J.T. July 11 AP
