Josh MacNaughton
Josh first saw Grand Canyon from the South Rim when he was just a kid, but that view never left his mind. When it was time for college the lure of the Canyon brought him back to Flagstaff, which has been home since 1999. His first Grand Canyon river trip was in 2001 and life would never be the same. Soon after he left school to take a guiding job in Valdez, Alaska and through the trials of that first guiding season fell in love with the job. He loves the freedom of seasonal employment and tries hard to fit a year’s work in only six months. Josh has been a full-time Grand Canyon River Guide since 2005 and rarely misses an opportunity to go outside and play.
